One
of the most striking purple perennials is the Aster ‘purple
dome.’ This purple perennial has beautiful daisy-like
blooms that cover the entire of the plant. The blooming time
of the Aster purple dome is from early fall until the first
frost. These purple perennials work excellent as a potted
plant and also stand out when placed in the front of the garden.
Another
beautiful purple perennial is the Spiderwort ‘concord
grape.’ This plant has dark bluish-green foliage and
beautiful purple flowers. The flowers will only open for one
day each, but new blooms will continue to appear from June
to October, making this plant extremely dynamic for summer
and early fall months. The contrast between the greenery and
blooms on the Spiderwort Concord grape makes it a purple perennial
that should not be missed.
