Perennial Plants
Perennial plants will add life to a garden year after year. A perennial plant will not need to be replanted each year, as they survive through the winter with an extensive and strong root system. Perennial plants have many uses, from simple good looks, to more useful purposes such as preventing soil erosion.

One of the most common perennial plants is the hosta. This perennial plant needs little care. The full shade nature of the hosta makes it one of the most versatile of the perennial plants. They are often used in gardens as a border or outline a bed of perennial flowers. These perennial plants have blooms from July to August, but are more known for their leafy look, and ability to grow in full shade.

Another of the common perennial plants is the hibiscus. This perennial plant has large, beautiful blooms that range in color from white to bright red. Some of the blooms of this perennial plant even blend colors for a striking display. The hibiscus will return year after year with its bold, extravagant flowers to add a touch of class to any garden.

There are many kinds of perennial plants. The addition of perennial plants to any garden will minimize the need for adding new plants each year. Once the perennial plants have taken hold of their position in the garden, they will return each year to bring enjoyment to all.
